In 1924 a small company took root in the rich farmlands of rural Pennsylvania. Its only business was the seasonal canning of locally-grown vegetables. Today this Company has become the largest fully-integrated independent food processor in the United States, producing over 40 million cases per year of food products.
The headquarters of Hanover Foods Corporation, along with the canning plant and frozen re-pack center, are located in Hanover, Pennsylvania. In the canning plant, glass and canned vegetable, bean and pasta items are produced in sizes ranging from 7 oz. to #10 cans, as are onions, tomato products and juice drinks. A re-pack center and brand new 100,000 square-foot freezer packages and stores IQF vegetables, vegetable blends, pasta, and beans. Hanover's frozen soft pretzels and shelf-stable hard pretzels are both produced nearby.
Hanover plants grow and process virtually all the products that the Company sells, such as sweet peas, lima beans, spinach and green beans. Other plants also produce items like potatoes, yams, fresh extruded pasta, mushrooms, meat and seafood products, and snack foods. The recent addition of a tomato plant in California has stabilized Hanover's tomato paste costs and will help Hanover become a strong market force in tomato products.
Hanover Foods Corporation has gained a long-term reputation for its premium-quality food products, commitment to innovation, and the quality of its customer relationships. 2 |
